ET breaks the news that Jason Mesnick, 32, will be the next star of “The Bachelor” coming to ABC in January 2009.

Female fans crumbled after he dropped to one knee, proposed marriage and got turned down on the season finale of the latest installment of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” But now he’ll have another shot at finding true love!

Mesnick, the single dad and Seattle-based account executive, will have another shot at finding love while dating 25 hopeful contestants.

Mesnick is a sports enthusiast who is looking for women with a passion for life.

This is an interesting piece of news since Jason Mesnick was so sad to be away from his son. I wonder if the Bachelor will allow him to bring his son with him to stay with him at night and just have a nanny watch the kid while he goes on his dates. Seems reasonable to me.

It should be interesting to see if Jason Mesnick has the appeal of other bachelors. He’s such a soft spoken guy that will have to see if Jason as Bachelor will make good television or not.

A quick thought about the show. I’m really sad to see TJ get sent to the chorus. I can see why they did it, but I also think he wasn’t really given a chance to shine. I’m sure that James Wolpert is going to be going to the chorus soon too, because he just is too awkward to win this competition.

I also love the absolutely typical high school girls Bailey Purvis and Shayna Goldstein. It makes me glad I’m not in high school anymore, but they take me back to the high school drama that I had long forgotten.

Finally, Christina Brown’s voice is just absolutely wonderful to hear and Tierney Chamberlain really does need to open up. Well, she doesn’t have to if she doesn’t want to, but she needs to if she wants to win. That’s up to her.

Dancing with the Stars Cast Finally Announced - Some intriguing names and new professionals. The best part is that it looks like the cast is rather fairly balanced. I don’t think we can see one clear winner at this point.

My Super Sweet 16 Presents: Exiled - Maybe I’m different, but I always found My Super Sweet 16 to be so over the top that it was almost unwatchable. The idea of “exiling” these teenagers is quite intriguing. Check out Rocky’s coverage of the show and the music from the show.

The Amazing Race 13 Cast - Amy is covering The Amazing Race 13 for us and she offers some interesting first impressions on the racers for TAR 13. Should be a really entertaining season with the personalities they have put together. Don’t believe me? Look no farther than the Hippie Beekeepers on TAR 13.

America’s Got Talent Semifinal Videos (Part 1) - The olympics are over and America’s Got Talent got off to a racing start with some incredible talent. Just watch the videos and see what I mean. The Hoff made a total fool of himself a couple times, but that’s not really news. It’s also worth checking out a video update of Julienne Irwin from last season’s America’s Got Talent.

JJ Abrams Fringe on Fox - If you haven’t heard about Fox’s new show Fringe which is JJ Abrams new baby, then it’s worth checking out. People are saying that it could be as good as X-files. Although most of the cast is saying it’s very different than X-files.

Here’s the announcement of the fourth judge.

American Idol is adding Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi as a fourth judge this season — which means Paula Abdul will no longer be stuck in the peacemaker role between Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.

“For the past seven seasons, Paula has had to endure the experience of being the only woman at the judges’ table. She’s been (seen) as an island of consideration and gentle criticism between Randy and Simon,” said Mike Darnell, Fox’s president of alternative programming.

“With Kara by her side, Paula finally has some back-up and now there is going to be a lot more ‘girl power’ on the show,” Darnell added.

KHLOE Kardashian has joined the ranks of “Celebrity Apprentice.” NBC won’t confirm anything, but Kardashian, 23, is a go for the new season, sources say. Khloe stars on E!’s reality show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” with sisters Kim, Kourtney and Kendall, mom Kris and stepdad Bruce Jenner. Joan and Melissa Rivers are also expected to compete on next season’s “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Flamboyant ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman, Tony Danza and Petra Nemcova have been floated as possible contestants. “Celebrity Apprentice” begins filming this fall and is scheduled to premiere in January on NBC. “America’s Got Talent” judge Piers Morgan won the show last season. KHLOE KARDASHIAN has reportedly been enlisted by business tycoon DONALD TRUMP to take part in hit U.S. TV show CELEBRITY APPRENTICE. The 23-year-old has already enjoyed reality TV fame with her hit series Keeping Up with the Kardashians - co-starring sisters Kim and Kourtney.

The show’s new season is set to begin recording in the autumn (08) and is scheduled for a premiere in January (09).

I liked Celebrity Apprentice last year, but the cast members listed above don’t look as entertaining. Except for Dennis Rodman. That guy will be hilarious since he’s so unpredictable.

You must never depend on one person. I don’t think we would have had the success initially without Nigel but we are onto our eighth season. It feels like it’s going to be a different show this year because of it and we will see whether that’s an advantage or a negative.”

With Nigel there it became too much of a crowd and he is a very good producer but I think now he has stepped down I probably will get more involved. I already have to be honest with you.

Simon has a good point that more than Nigel work on the show. Let’s hope that a show isn’t dependent on just one person. However, people could argue quite well that Simon Cowell taking over more of the show isn’t a good thing. I tend to agree.

I really liked to watch Jennie Garth with Derek Hough on Dancing with the Stars, but I have a feeling she won’t fair as well appearing on “Are you smarter than a fifth grader?” I’m sad to say that I think the answer to that question for Jennie is no. I hope she proves me wrong.

Ok, enough happy dancing, the room’s spinning now. I’ve been watching so many dance shows this summer; I convinced myself that I can dance. Maybe I’ll stick to watching for now.
