So You Think You Can Dance Episodes Streamed Online

Written by: John

UPDATE: Looks like the original reports were wrong and it isn’t going to be streamed on Fox on Demand or Hulu. At least not yet anyway. It’s unfortunate. You can’t even buy it on iTunes or Amazon Unbox. It’s just ridiculous that they wouldn’t provide an online way of streaming So You Think You Can Dance. In the meantime you can stream most of the shows on youtube. or click one of the ads on this page and they might have it.

I just found out that the So You Think You Can Dance episodes will now be available online using Fox’s on demand video. This is great news that fox is going to stream So You Think You Can Dance online. This will make watching the show much easier when random events happen that don’t allow me to watch it that night. I just REALLY hope that it’s not only available to stream on Fox on Demand, but that it is also made available on Hulu. That way I can share all the episodes of the show right on this blog.

Solar Decathalon by BP for All The Green People

Written by: John

While I’ll openly admit that I’m not a “green” person and I normally don’t follow or like to read about the green things that people are doing. Sure, I think it’s good to be nice to the environment. However, I guess I’ve just seen too many “green” things that don’t really do anything.

Ok, so now that I declared my point of view openly, I must admit that I found the BP Solar Decathlon to be absolutely fascinating. Although, not because it’s green. Probably because I absolutely love technology. I’ve watched something similar to this on TV one time. While I was happy that technology was able to help the environment, I must admit that I was even more interested in seeing how this technology (that was environmentally conscious) could also help me and the US to have renewable energy supplies which would continue to lower costs. I’ll be the first to admit that the idea of Hydrogen power is completely fascinating and I can’t wait until it or some other technology frees us from the grips of the oil giants.

What an impressive list of universities that are involved from all over the world. I think these events in college are quite amazing and really show the great sacrifices that students will often make during college. It utterly amazes me.

I also think it’s cool that BP is a sponsor of the event. Sure, it definitely seems like a PR move for BP, but I don’t care about why they do it. I care more about the fact that they are doing good. I’ll give them props for really trying to do things like this. Of course, I’m sure they want to be part of it so that if someone does break the energy technology barrier, then they’ll want to be apart of it.

Either way, it looks like a very interesting event and I hope that the BP Solar Decathalon blog is updated frequently with what’s happening. I love following events through blogs.

Check Out a Blog Map Mashup of A Few Las Vegas Blogs

Written by: John

I’ve been working on a little Google Mashup of blogs and here’s a demo that I did for Las Vegas Blogs. I still have a good ways to go, but I think the concept is pretty neat. You can read all about my idea and vote for it in Idea Warz.

Let me know what you think of the mashup. Soon I’m hoping to get a beta page out where interested bloggers can start signing up.

Well, I’ve submitted another one of my ideas to the Cambrian House Idea Warz. It’s called Blog Mashing and I would appreciate everyone’s support in voting for my idea. I’m in the lead right now, but I can always use more 5 star votes to help me ensure a win. Thanks for all your support.

The Next Google Page Rank Update

Written by: John

I must admit that I normally haven’t been really watching and waiting for the various Google Page Rank updates. Sure, I love when it goes up, but I haven’t really cared when the update happens. Well, ever since one of my blogs dropped from PR 5 to PR 4, I’ve missed having my blog a PR 5 and so I’ve been anticipating the next page rank update.

Now, I should admit that I haven’t really taken any serious measures to increase my page rank. I’ve just continued promoting my blog and blogging about topics of interest to me and I hope that it will pay off with success when the page rank update happens.

Well, tonight I finally decided to start a little search to see what kind of rumors were out there about the next Google page rank update (and yes I know it’s just really an export and that page rank is constantly updated). PR is an interesting and important measure for many people interested in advertising on your site.

Well, I found this list that showed the history of all the2007 google page rank updates (and other updates). Looks like it could happen any time. Let’s hope it happens soon and more importantly, that the changes are good for my various blogs.

2007 Waiting TBPR Export Estimation Jul 21 86
2007 Waiting GDPR Export Estimation Mar 19/06 582
2007 Apr 30 TBPR Export: Toolbar Pagerank Export.
2007 Jan 25 Algorithm Update: Algorithm Update. Reduce Googlebomb Impact
2007 Jan 25 TBPR Export: Toolbar Pagerank Export.
Estimated Jan 28/2007 Jan 25 TBPR & BL Export
2007 Jan 10 TBPR & BL Export: Toolbar Pagerank & BL Export.

Here’s the definitions:
TBPR Export: Toolbar PageRank Export - export of Real PR to the Toolbar PR 11 unit scale (no longer called a PR update as Real PR is updated continously and the Toolbar PR change is just an export of that updated value).
GDPR Export: Google Directory Export - export of Real PR to the Google Directory 8 unit scale (no longer called a PR update as Real PR is updated continously and the Google directory PR change is an export of that updated value).
BL Export: Backlink Export - export of a sample of the number of backlinks which is almost meaningless as it is only a sample number. This number can be seen with the link:www.domain.tld command (no longer called a BL update as backlinks are updated continously and the visible BL number change is an export of that updated value).
Algo Update: Algorithm Update - a major update in the Ranking algorithm that causes a large SERP change.
TB Program Version Change: Toolbar Program Version Change - a software version change to the Google toolbar that displays PR.
Days: Days between toolbar PR exports.

Watch Favorite Shows Online Any Time You Want

Written by: John

I love being able to watch my favorite shows online. It is nice to know that if I miss an Episode of my favorite Grey’s Anatomy that I can watch it the next day online. I just learned Dancing With The Stars has it shows streamed online too. My husband will be so happy. Now if only we could get some of those Sunday night shows, like Amazing Race or Extreme Makeover.

Another Web IM Program

Written by: John

I recently blogged about Meebo: the web IM program. Well, it turns out there not the only Web Messenger program out there. I came across KoolIM today. Of course anything that says Kool I had to take a look at. I think that all started with things like Kool-Aid. I don’t like their interface that much. There are too many ads on the page and the IM login isn’t completely apparent. It is pretty neat that you can login to all the different messengers at the same time. I did have a little problem getting MSN messenger to work. It didn’t login correctly. Also, the logout confused me. It just said it was logged out. No links to another page or anything. That seems odd that the first page is so ad focused and the sign out it so blank.

I still think it’s great technology. I’m not sure what the revenue model for the site is, but I could see it being an expensive application with very little revenue generation. Plus, I’m not sure what company would buy it out since almost all of the major IM software companies have their own individual ones.

Six Games from the 90’s Culture

Written by: John

I found this article on 6 games that we would have seen if the game systems existed during the 90’s. I thought it was a great list and a nice walk back through memory lane. I guess the 90’s was the majority of my childhood and so it was fun to look back at the list.

I think they were off on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. Not because I think it wouldn’t be made. Actually it was made as a computer game during that time period. I remember spending hours at my friend Matt Crawford’s house playing the game. We pulled out encyclopedias and everything. I think we could do much better at the game now with Google and Wikipedia.

Pictures Made in MS Paint

Written by: John

This is absolutely incredible. The things you are going to see on this post are amazing by themselves. However, when I tell you that someone made these works of art with MS paint, then you should be first amazed. Then, astounded. Then, shocked that someone would have that much time on their hands. My hats off to the Top 5 MS Paint Masterpieces.

Since I just posted about Italy I’ll give you just one example:
