I mean seriously, the one thing you’re asked to do for a pageant is to walk around without tripping. Is it really all that hard?

Apparently it is for Miss America, since it happened last year too. Here’s the video of Miss America’s fall from last year and the subsequent booing she received.

One thing that I did learn from the Miss Universe Pageant tonight was that despite all of our cultural differences, every country in the nation has one thing in common: beautiful women.

Of course, I couldn’t do a post on Pageant mess ups without posting Miss South Carolina’s Miss Teen USA 2007 answer. I’ve seen this and listened to it probably 20 times and it still astounds me. Enjoy!

The Chilean actor gripped his arm in obvious pain towards the end of his hip-shaking samba. He did his best to complete the dance, but was unable to hold on to his partner, Cheryl Burke, as she crumpled to the floor in the routine’s

De La Fuente insisted he was ready to hear the judges’ comments immediately after the couple finished, but the producers cut to a commercial so an EMT could look at his arm. After the break, he held an ice pack to his arm as he heard the judges’ scores.The actor ended the evening in last place at 46, with a 25 for his first number, the Viennese waltz, and 21 for the samba.

This is a judge from the Dancing with the Stars Australia. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

DANCING with the Stars judge Todd McKenney has been charged with drug possession after being found unconscious in a Sydney park about 3pm on Friday.

He reportedly claims his drink was spiked at a party the night before, and blamed “the tall poppy syndrome”.

“They obviously wanted to put the boot into me. I don’t know what I have done to deserve this treatment,” he reportedly said. “I had a vodka and tonic and I started to feel progressively sick. I have no idea where I ended up.”

Can you imagine Bruno in a park unconscious? Ok, that really wasn’t much of a stretch.
