Now that ABDC season 2 is over, I’ve been missing some of my favorite dance crews like Fanny Pack.

This year at the VMA’s, ABDC had a special dance off between dance crews from seasons 1 and 2 for a chance to present an award live on the VMA show. After a challenge competition, two crews were selected to have a final battle at the VMA pre-show for the coveted televised spot.

Fanny Pack and Kaba Modern won the first challenge and faced each other during the pre-show special. Fanny Pack won the final battle. Way to go Fanny Pack!

Choreographer Shane Sparks had the chance to work choreography with JabbaWockeeZ and Super Cr3w for the first time.

Nigel Lythgoe, judge and executive-producer of So You Think You Can Dance, is currently in South Africa helping to launch a South African version of the show.

Nigel has been checking out some of the local dance styles and publicly stated that he wants to bring the Pantsula and Gumboot dancing to America.

SYTYCD Season 4 gave us Bollywood, will Season 5 bring us Pantsula and Gumboot dancing?
