Biotene Sensitive Toothpaste with Dry Mouth Protection

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve had way too many problems with my teeth. It usually ebbs and flows and that’s probably the problem. When all is well I don’t even think about them much, but once they start hurting or getting sensitive to things they annoy the heck out of me. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to the dentist and they basically just tell me that there isn’t much they can do. They prescribe me some meds to make sure I don’t have an infection, but I’m pretty sure it’s all a conspiracy they have with the drug company. Maybe not, but either way the meds they’ve given me don’t seem to do anything. I think the deep cleaning the dentist can do is really what makes the difference. We all know how much fun going to the dentist is. Not at all.

Biotene Toothpaste
I was recently sent a toobe of biotene sensitive toothpaste to try out. It is designed to not just mask the problem like other toothpastes, but really tries to solve the problems (or so it says). Here’s the full list of Biotene“>biotene toothpaste features:

* Multi-Protection Formula
* Maximum sensitivity protection with Biotene’s advanced Enzyme LP3 Complex™ for dry mouth relief
* Promotes healing of bleeding guyms and inflammation that can cause tooth sensitivity
* Delicious flavor fights cavities and the causes and effects of bad breath

Well, I tried it out and my initial reaction was that the taste was horrible. After the initial impact I realized that it tasted like whatever paste they use at the dentist’s office. Maybe this is by design, but the taste would prevent me from using this every day. Otherwise, it seemed like pretty regular toothpaste. Kind of a bit underwhelming. I guess the real measure of success will be once I try to eat something that my teeth are sensitive too. My teeth definitely feel clean and refreshed. I think I’m going to have to use this for a week and give it a true test tomorrow when I eat all that delicious Thanksgiving food all day.

One other interesting point is that I have a major canker sore in the front of my mouth. It’s been killing me all morning. After using biotene to brush the pain has gone away. Not really sure if biotene was designed for this or not, but I appreciate having that pain out of my life. I need my mouth full functional for Thanksgiving.
