Cat Deeley Pictures

Written by: John

Well, I’ve been talking about Cat Deeley so much, I decided it was only right of me to post a picture or two. Well, actually you can check out a whole slew of pictures of Cat Deeley. I can see why she’s done so well in her career. She’s a beautiful woman. I wonder what she’s like in real life. Here’s one glimpse of Cat

Kameron Bink and Jamie Goodwin Kicked Off So You Think You Can Dance

Written by: John

Well, I don’t think anyone was too surprised that these two got kicked off So You Think You Can Dance. Kameron and Jamie just didn’t match up well with the incredibly likable Lauren and Dominic. I must admit I’m really happy to see Jamie go. It’s nothing personal, but I just prefer Lauren’s dancing 100 times better than Jamie’s. Maybe that’s just personal preference, but Lauren is incredible and I can’t wait to see her next week. Jamie I wouldn’t have given a second thought to.

The results shows just aren’t quite as interesting as the performance shows. I guess this is represented by what I think was the most interesting part of the night. Cat Deeley. She was fantastic and you could tell really has a personal relationship with the dancers that are going home. The highlight of Cat was at the end of the show she had her arms around Kameron and Jamie and she was massaging Kameron’s shoulder. Oh to be Kameron in that moment. I’m not sure if it was Cat’s nerves, Cat hitting on Kameron or just coincidence. However, it was fun to watch even Cat get so involved in the show that she was feeling the pressure. So You Think You Can Dance is lucky to have Cat.

I thought Nigel’s comments at the beginning were ridiculous. I can’t believe people would construe a peace dance as anti-war. Peace does not equal anti-war. Sometimes war is important to maintain peace. Anyway, it’s just a sad state of society when people get all worked up over a little dance to encourage peace. Who in the world wouldn’t want peace?

Finally, I’m glad that Nigel said he was bored with the same routine. That means that they’ll never do it again. That can’t be anything but a plus. After watching the videos some again tonight I decided to not even waste my time posting them. Sorry Wade. You’re great, but once is enough for me.

Performance Show Recap - So You Think You Can Dance

Written by: John

I know that I’m a day late, but I figured I might as well post it for those that missed last nights performance. You might also want to watch the group video performance from last night too. Cat really did look amazing. How does that girl do it?

Season 2

SHOW 317/318
7/25/07

Tonight is a big night and Cat Deeley is dressing the part. She somehow managed to look sexier and taller and svelter than last time. She knows that’s what it takes for the top 10 show. Just to remind everyone, here is the top 10: Neil, Sabra, Dominic, Lacey, Danny, Jaimie, Kameron, Sara, Pasha, and Lauren.

Joining Nigel and Mary on the judging panel is the one and only Mia Michaels, so we should have some eclectic reviews this evening. In addition the re-partnering of all the couples, Wade Robson will be teaching the entire top 10 a solo routine on which they will all be compared.

First new couple tonight is Lauren and Pasha doing a Shane Sparks hip-hop routine. They’re wearing some bizarre skeleton costumes and start off doing strange moves to broken down robot sounds. Phew, it’s just the intro. They start breaking into some serious moves in perfect sync. The audience loves it and the judges do even more, to the point where Cat tells Mary she needs to pace herself.
Fuego
Pitbull

To make things all the more confusing and difficult the coupled routines will be interjected with solos. First up is Jaimie. She does a pretty standard solo, but they’re only going to get more standard since the choreography and music is all the same, not to mention they’re all going to be wearing the same clothes. Remember, tonight you (America) are voting for individual dancers.

It’s now time for Dominic to do his solo. He really gets into it with some seriously powerful moves. We may have lost Dominic to the world of Contemporary dance forever.

The next new couple is Sabra and Kameron doing a contemporary routine. They’re dressed the way angels look on TV during a comical dream sequence about heaven, and the dancing is pretty similar minus the comedy. Both Kameron and Sabra pull out the big air tricks but still manage to lock into each other’s chemistry. Apparently I’m wrong again, because the judges don’t really feel the chemistry. For the individuals all the compliments land on Sabra with nothing but critiques for Kameron.
Amazing Grace
Crystal Lewis

Sara is next doing her solo. She nails the Wade Robson choreography and manages to sneak in an essence of the Sara b-girl as well.

Pasha is up next for his solo. These kids are really showing the emotion here, or at least trying to. Pasha looked a little clumsy here, but still pretty great.

The next new couple is Lacey and Danny choreographed by a dancer from last year, Dmitrti Chaplin. The new mega hotness couple is wearing all black hitting aggressive moves right from the start. Lacey has once again found a way to utilize her posterior as much as possible. Dances like that are the reason dancing is outlawed by some religions. The judges like the performance but think it’s a little weak in eh technical department. The judges rain praise all over Lacey, saying she is going to be in the finale.
Hip Hip Chin Chin
Club Des Belugas

Lauren is up next doing her solo. As usual she manages to inject some smiles and fun into a rather serious number.

The ladies are going crazy for the next solo because it’s Neil! So far he’s put the highest vertical jump into his solo, going to be hard to top, literally! This is definitely the best so far, should take him to the next round.

Not to be outdone Sabra brings some great energy to her solo adding a scream to the heavens in the breakdown of the song.

Now Kameron gets to strut his solo stuff. Just a note, he’s still going strong with the red mohawk. He seems a little loose and soft in his solo, but you can never really tell.

The new couple of Jaimie and Dominic will be doing the Viennese waltz taught by Toni Reopath. They’re dressed up in some kind of old world peasant garb of indeterminate European origin. Nigel gives Dominic a pretty heavy critique and Mary follows in suit. This is the first time I remember dancers being scolded for going over the top. Mia gives them both a reaming too. Dominic and Jaimie are smiling like mad trying to hide the crushed souls.
Man of la Mancha
Linda Elder

It’s Lacey’s turn to solo it out in the white hospital gown. This one was a little flat for me, but again, what do I know. I think Lacey is going to be safe for a while.

The final solo of the night is Danny. He does the Robson choreography Danny-style that all the girls love.

Sara and Neil are the final new couple. They will be doing a Disco routine taught by my girl Dorianna Sanchez. They start hitting it hard right from the beginning including a mega back flip from Neil that looked like he found a hidden pneumatic launch pad. Also, Sara looks super hot. They totally nailed every move with effortless perfection. It was so good the judges have little to say but amazing things.
Knock on Wood
Rachel Stevens

That does it for the dancing. Time to hear a few words from the judges about the solo routines. They run down the line given quick comments to each of the top 10 dancers. Sara, Lauren, Lacey, Danny, Sabra and Kameron stood out as good soloists, where Pasha and Neil had overall not-so-good critiques.

Tomorrow we see who’s going home. See you then!

The Hidden So You Think You Can Dance Gem - Lauren Gottlieb

Written by: John

I must admit that until tonight I hadn’t really noticed Lauren Gottlieb on So You Think You Can Dance. I’m not sure exactly why. She really is something else. She is incredibly beautiful and a wonderful talent. I apologize Lauren that I didn’t notice you early. Here’s a look at a number of videos of Lauren Gottlieb dancing on So You Think You Can Dance.

Video of Lauren Gottlieb dancing for her life

This has to be one of the hottest solos ever on So You Think You Can Dance. Lauren looks amazing. I’m just not sure why I didn’t notice Lauren’s potential way back when. I think Lauren will pick it up now.

I think this is called Pretty in Pink. Too bad my favorite part of this video was the quick shot of Cat at the beginning.

Profile of Lauren Gottlieb from So You Think You Can Dance

Tonight I must admit that I’m really glad that Lauren is in the bottom 4. Not because I want her off. I’m only glad Lauren is in the bottom 4, because that means we get to see her do a solo. She was looking smoking hot tonight and better beat out the lackluster Jamie.

Kameron Bink Cheating on Lacey Schwimmer

Written by: John

Well, I’m not really sure if this is considered cheating, but at least Kameron has good taste in the girl he chose out of the audience. Pretty entertaining video from Lacey and Kameron.

Sara Kei VonGillern Dancing for Her Life On So You Think You Can Dance

Written by: John

I was trying to find another video of Sara VonGillern doing last nights disco, but the best I could find is this sweet solo from a sweet little b-girl. Enjoy the video of Sara Kei VonGillern dancing for her life.

Hok on So You Think You Can Dance Tour

Written by: John

I really lamented the fact that Hok got kicked off before making it to the final 10 dancers. Why? Because I think that Hok would be the best addition to the tour. Well, according to an article by TV Guide, Hok will be on the So You Think You Can Dance Tour.

What happens is that Hok and Anya are sent home. And it is doubly painful for them and their fans because — as we were reminded numerous times between Wednesday’s performance show and the imminent results — only the top 10 will be invited to perform in the 50-plus cities on the series’ national tour.

Or so the producers would have you think. After the show, a truer picture emerges. “The two who went out today will be the alternates on the tour,” says judge Mary Murphy. “We always have to have two or three alternates go along, so I don’t think the fans are going to be disappointed in that department. Hok will be out there by popular demand. And I think Anya will be there, too, if they’ll both sign up to do it. And I’m sure they will.”

While it is true that they will be on the tour, Hok certainly won’t get the spotlight that he deserves. Well, hopefully someone like Danny won’t sign up for the tour and Hok can hop in his place.

Glamazons at The GLBT 2007 Expo Before America’s Got Talent

Written by: John

Here’s the Glamazons before America’s Got Talent at the GLBT 2007 Expo. I always love seeing videos of people before they are on various reality TV shows.

Here’s another version of Glamazons at the Autosalon Sydney 06. Too bad they are in Sydney and can’t participate in America’s Got Talent. I definitely like these Glamazons better than the Glamazons on America’s Got Talent.

America’s Got Talent - Semifinals - Jonny Come Lately - Singing Queen

Well, it was the end of the road for Jonny Come Lately, but I’m pretty sure that they will have a fan following. Just not the ones that pick up their phone and vote for them.

Here’s the video of Jonny Come Lately singing a queen song on America’s Got Talent
