Full Music Videos on YouTube

Written by: John

I don’t know if I’m really slow or what, but I just found a full music video on YouTube for Jewel’s song Standing Still.

Now, I’m happy to admit that I don’t go searching through YouTube seeing what’s new. I just don’t have time for most of it. I watch a video here and there and if you watch this site you know I watch So You Think You Can Dance stuff, but the idea of seeing full music videos intrigues me.

Here’s Jewel’s music video for Standing Still:

Buying Shoes for Children

Written by: John

Today my wife called me and said that she had gone to the store in search of a new pair of shoes for my son. Well, she came up fruitless. She couldn’t find any good shoes for my son. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Kids shoes are just hard to shop for.

Tonight was I was pouring over my blogs I realized that she is wasting her time going to a store. We have the internet so she should just buy the shoes right online. In fact, if she buys them online she can save on brand name shoes.

Buying shoes online is also a great idea because:

Brand name shoes of all sizes are available.
Free shipping.
Free returns. With free returns, don’t be concerned about fit.
Huge inventory. Much larget selection than any brick front store.
No sales tax to most states.

Should I wake her up to tell her or wait until tomorrow? I’ll wait until tomorrow.

Six Weeks to Sensational Skin by Dr. Loretta Ciraldo

Written by: John

Living in Las Vegas there is a feeling that you have to have everything completely perfect. Skin, hair, body, etc etc etc. It’s amazing the amounts of surgeries people do to try and stay young. It’s a complete joke. Especially because doing those things often makes you look older and also starts you on a perpetual cycle of surgeries. Great for the surgeons. Horrible for you.

A better solution is the stuff in Six Weeks to Sensational Skin. It’s a book by Dr. Ciraldo, a dermatologist and DMA consulting physician, that was also shown on ABC’s Good Morning America. In her book, Dr. Ciraldo acts as camp counselor through a variety of activities, reminding readers that the promise of a product is driven by the ingredients. The labels should tell the whole story! She’ll tell you what to look for, turning you into a beauty sleuth at the cosmetics counter!

Blogging and Getting Paid to Blog

Written by: John

I just checked my stats for this webpage and I had a nice google search for pay for post blog. Well, I guess that officially makes this blog the best Pay for Post Blog in the world. Well, some may say that it is called PayPerPost and not pay for post. Well, if you were like me and spoke Italian then you would know that per and for are the same thing.

Anyway, if you are interested in being able to advertise on blogs then you should go and read about PayPerPost. You can find me all over the blog as techie. I’m not really sure why I modified my name to techie from techguy. I prefer techguy, but I think it’s too late now. I think I was trying to get more searches for techie to my site since techguy didn’t seem right. Since then I’ve learned about nofollow tags in the comment section so it makes no difference. I should have just been techguy from the beginning.

Well, enough rambling. Pay Per Post knows be as techie and as long as I still continue getting paid to blog they can keep calling me. $1083 and counting. Beats Adsense. Now if they can just get their affiliate program up and running.

Gift for My Father’s Birthday

Written by: John

My dad’s birthday is coming up later this week. Every year I think birthdays are such an adventure. I never know what to get people for their birthdays. They are adults and can go get whatever they want for their birthday. Why should I get them something.

Ok, that’s all the pessimism for this post. My dad deserves something nice that he will like. I’m thinking about getting him a membership to the William Shatner DVD Club.

It’s really quite a unique model since they have A Shatner DVD Club Independent Film called it2i2. Here’s a description of the film:

As the number of connections between computers on the Internet approaches the number of connections between neurons in the human brain, something really big could happen! it2i2 – “It thinks, therefore it is” – explores this concept through a mockumentary that follows a BBC reporters search for truth surrounding an artificial intelligence’s inhabitation of the vast landscape of the World Wide Web. Reporter Robert Llewellyn must navigate a maze of rumors, secretive techno-heads, government officials and corporate suits to discover the truth behind this growing mystery. Why you should see it: This independent gem is the brainchild of Robert Llewellyn, who you might recognize as the actor, writer and producer from the hit BBC sci-fi comedy, “Red Dwarf.” Llewellyn has also hosted a UK engineering series, “Scrapheap Challenge,” known in the US as TLC’s “Junkyard Wars.” it2i2 achieves a tremendous scale on a tiny budget; excellent production values, clean acting, stylish comedy, and an engaging sci-fi concept can all be credited to Llewellyn’s extensive genre experience. DVD Extras: Includes a never before seen interview with renowned Cybernetics & Artificial Intelligence Professor, Kevin Warwick.

““The Da Vinci Code meets the Matrix, only with a lower budget.” — London Times

Sounds quite interesting. Maybe that’s the techguy in me. I love anything that has to do with computers. Movies are no exception. I think my dad would enjoy this show too. It’s only $49.95 for 15 movies - less than $4 per DVD. Not a bad deal. The DVD Club also has a free dvd the first month so you can try it out. Looking good. Any other ideas for my father?

Great Blog - Smooth Harold

Written by: John

I came across a blog that is really quite great to read. It has a nice mix of entrepreneurship, technology and life that seems to match me. I believe I found him as one of Paul Allen’s disciples, but I’m not 100% sure of that.

Either way, it’s a blog worth reading. He raises some very interesting points and questions to think about.
