Fox’s Celebrity Duets
Written by: JohnTonight on Fox’s Celebrity Duets Lea Thompson was sent home. I can’t say that I’m addicted to Celebrity duets. In fact, I really don’t like the show, but for some reason I seem drawn to watch it to see who’s going to be on the show next. I’m really impressed with the amount of talent they’ve been able to sing duets with singers like Cheech Marin, Lucy Lawless, Carly Patterson, Hal Sparks, Jai Rodriguez and Alfonso Ribeiro.
My hope is that Lucy Lawless will win it all. A couple of her songs have been incredibly impressive.
I have to admit that I think the best judge on the board is David Foster. I love it because the guy really knows what he’s doing. Marie Osmond hasn’t completely embarrassed herself and Little Richard is crazy.
So far my favorite star on Celebrity Duets is by far Gladys Knight. I am a little biased since she is pretty much a neighbor, but honestly she is a performer through and through.
A Chair is a Chair is A Chair…Or is it?
Written by: JohnI use to think that a chair was a chair and it didn’t matter which chair you used. My mom who has gone through all sorts of back problems ended up working in the accounting department for an office furniture supply store. As you can imagine she pretty much had the pick of whatever chair she wanted to choose. Well, it turns out that not all chairs are created equal. It can drastically affect the way you sit and the way your body handles sitting. I guess our bodies weren’t meant to sit as much as we do. Our bodies were meant to lay down or stand.
Well, in my search for chairs I came across a chair that I hadn’t seen forever. It’s called a coccyx chair.

I didn’t know that was the name of it, but it turns out that this type of chair is really good for your back. I guess the word Coccyx is latin for tailbone. This chair takes the pressure off your tailbone and prevents you from having back pain, mainly in the lower back. Plus, I remember that they were always really comfortable.
The only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t work as well on nice plush carpet. It’s too hard to roll around. However, this would be perfect for me to use at work.
Top 8 Group Dance from So You Think You Can Dance
Written by: JohnSorry for the barrage of So You Think You Can Dance. That’s where this blog got it’s biggest traffic, so I have to keep feeding the masses. Not to mention, I still love that show and these videos are going to have to suffice until next year.
Choosing a Digital Camera
Written by: JohnHave you looked around at the different digital cameras that are available today? Take a look at Digital Cameras from PC World and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. It’s really quite overwhelming. They are coming in all shapes and sizes and hundreds of features. If I weren’t a tech person, then I could see how this is overwhelming. Here’s a few hints:
-Get a Camera from a Well Known Brand
-Learn the difference between optical and digital zoom before you buy
-Get a large memory card
-5 mega pixels is a minimum these days
That should at least get you started on purchasing a digital camera. If you don’t have one then just take the plunge and get one. I can’t believe people use anything else. If you are really advanced then check out the Digital Camcorders from PC World. Digital Camcorders are even more fun!!![]()
Benji Schwimmer Montage
Written by: JohnI know it shouldn’t, but it still amazes me how much people love Benji. I enjoyed watching him on the show too, but this seems a bit extreme. It is a nice ode to Benji. I can’t wait to see some coverage from Benji in Celine Deion’s show.
Here’s a second one that isn’t quite as good as the first in my opinion:
Of course…all you Benji lovers will love having more Benji!
