SpiderFan - Trekies Gone Spiderman
Written by: JohnI checkout out a Spiderman fan website (http://www.spiderfan.org/) that reminded me of what trekies have been doing for years. Is it really possible that Spiderman fans could love spiderman as much as people seem to love star trek? I don’t think it’s possible because spiderman is really the only famous character. Star Trek had tons of characters that were on every show. I think that is what contributed to the fan base.
One thing that should be pointed out is that the Spiderman fan website that star trek never had. Spiderman has comic books. I think comic book collecting is as big as any other collection I’ve seen. Maybe that’s why fans love it. I think with Spiderman 3 coming out we’ll see more and more SpiderFan’s out there.
I should also point out an image that is shown on the SpiderFan homepage.
I guess sex sells even in Spiderman. If getting girls to like me is part of being a spiderfan then I better check it out.
Howard Stern Not Even Worthy of Shock Jock
Written by: JohnI must admit that Howard Stern(http://www.howardstern.com) has definitely created an empire with his radio show, the television show and everything he’s been doing on satellite radio. Some people call him a shock jock, but I don’t even think he’s worthy of that. The sad thing is that he wouldn’t keep doing it if people didn’t keep listening to him. I don’t think its really an issue of his morals, but the morals of society that continue to support him. I can’t blame Howard for all the problems for society, but I can’t think of any good his show has done for the world.
If I had more time I should start a new blog called “whatswithhowardstern”. I’m sure it would be one of the most visited blogs on the web. Too bad it would requite me to actually have to listen and see his shows. Definitely not worth the cost.
