Sports Fundraising

I’m planning on highlighting a number of different methods of sports fundraising. I also want to highlight the sports fundraising market and the various needs of sports fundraising. Since this is a fundraising blog I hope that people will participate in the discussion. I’m sure that some of my readers are more informed in sports fundraising than I am.

Please also let me know if there is a topic you’d like me to cover. I’ll admit up front that I’m currently working on an amateur sports fundraiser that I think will rock the sports fundraising world. The point of this blog is to gather my thoughts and understanding of sports fundraising in one place. Let me know what you think.

One easy fundraising method is names on bricks. It raises funds, and also builds intangibles - people feel emotionally attached to the project when they see their name (or a loved ones name) on a brick. This helps in future fund raising efforts.
Our local high school did a wall in 1985 to raise funds. Graduates (and their children), still come to the wall to see ‘their’ name. It’s built a sense of community.
