Why I Love Crowdsourcing

Today I realized what it is I love most about crowdsourcing and Cambrian House (which they hope is synonymous with crowdsourcing).

I love being a part of a ton of different projects and contributing in a small way to a ton of different things. I’m probably ADD and just need the variety in my life. My family has always said that they can’t see me living in one place for more than a couple years. It’s true. I don’t think I ever will. I’ve always said, my children in school might change that way of thinking, but probably not. I love seeing new places, meeting new people and having new challenges.

Crowdsourcing gives me that opportunity to support my diversity of interests. It keeps me alive with new challenges and interesting projects.

For example, one day I might want to work in the game industry and work on the desktop to desktop game Gwabs. (the Gwabs mini game is awesome and incredibly addicting) Tomorrow I might want to work on a social networking site like the wish giving Robin Hood Fund. After that I’ll take a look at some interesting business ideas competing for money. I’ll talk business philosophy in the cambrian house forums. Then, I’ll wrap up my night by checking out Spoil My Spouse.

It’s almost like I’m an entrepreneur in all of these different industries. Can’t get much better than that can you? Oh yeah, and what’s my risk? Time. Since I consider it fun, then I personally call it play time.
