A Great Time for a BYU Fan In Las Vegas

I’ve been living in Las Vegas for the past 2 years and I have to say that if I can’t stand to live in Provo then Las Vegas is the next best place for a BYU sports fan. Take a look at the BYU events that are coming up in the next couple months:

Jan. 12th (Friday) BYU Management Society Business Workshop . 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Lawry’s restaurant. Contact Mark Cordner for details on this exciting day of networking and learning how to grow and strengthen your business. 258-4455.

Jan. 13 (Sat) BYU Mens Basketball UNLV 7 p.m. tickets at www.byu.edu

Feb. 21 (Wed) Womens Basketball UNLV 7 p.m.

March 3 , 2007 (Saturday) BYU FolkDancers performance at the Henderson Pavilion 6 p.m. For tickets contact http://www.visithenderson.com or (702) 267-2171.

March 6-10 Womens MWC Basketball Tournament Location/time TBA

March 15-17 (Thurs-Sat) Mens Baseball Mountain West Tournament 6:30 p.m.

March 25, 2007 (Sunday) BYU Men’s Chorus Fireside. Time and location pending. No ticket required. Sunday dress required. Contact Tracey Long if you’re interested in housing/hosting some of the performers. 873-5664.

They’re not all sport events, but I like the arts almost as much and so there’s no reason why I shouldn’t throw in the other BYU events. The best part is that our faithful BYU Las Vegas Alumni group sent me all of these details. I know that they really just want my money, but if they keep sending me enough of these list of event emails I may one day decide to give them something. For now paying for tickets, merchandise and food at games will have to suffice.

**Not to be harsh, but the BYU Las Vegas Alumni page needs some work. That’s something I could possibly help with if you needed some technical skill.
