Horrible Weekend for Mountain West Conference Football
Written by: JohnYes, I haven’t blogged about BYU sports in a while. What can I say? After BYU loses a football game then it leads me to a sad state of BYU football depression. There’s really nothing I can do about it and I don’t feel motivated to post to my blog when this happens. From now on just expect that I won’t post for a few days after a loss. There may be the rare exception, but don’t think I’ve left you.
In fact, this weekend was even worse than normal. The whole MWC sucked. Here’s the rundown of this weekend:
San Diego State Loses to Utep
New Mexico Loses to Portland State
Utah Loses to UCLA
BYU Loses to Arizona
UNLV, Wyoming and Colorado State all beat up on no name teams.
The only bright spot is that TCU beat Baylor. I’m not sure I think that’s a bright spot because I want BYU to still beat TCU and if BYU beats TCU then that means that TCU won’t have a shot at the BCS. TCU making it to the BCS is the only good thing that can come to BYU from TCU winning. Are you following this logic?
Anyway, I’m just disgusted that BYU gave the game to Arizona. Special teams COME ON!! Coaches, put the ball in Vakapuna’s hands more. If you have 4th and 1 never go for the field goal. Have you seen us kick field goals?
Also, I started a post on Jonny Harline that I need to finish. The first play of the Arizona game proved what I was writing. Too bad I didn’t publish it before the game. Oh well, I know I thought of it before they played.
