BYU Running Back Curtis Brown Gets Married
Written by: CrashUtahOne player who was excused from drills for the next four days is all-conference running back candidate Curtis Brown, who will marry Kim Dabo on Saturday in the Provo LDS Temple. Brown has been told he’s expected to report back to camp Monday morning at 9 a.m.
Curtis Brown got 4 days off of practices due to marriage. I can’t believe a football player gets 4 days off for marriage. It only takes about an hour in the temple to get married. Not to mention, can’t they schedule the marriage around football. More importantly, Curtis, get back to practice so we can get some better quotes from players.
I will say that this has to be one of the best ends to a story. If I’m not mistaken, Curtis decided to join the church while at BYU and now he’s getting married in the temple. There’s something pretty special about that.
Let’s hope his wife doesn’t mess with his running skills.

Curtis married my cousin Kim in Oakland, California. It was a 175-200 mile round trip between Kim’s home and the Oakland LDS Temple. They originally wanted to be married during a off week in October. I agree that a football player should make every attempt to be with the team, but Kim is well worth the absence from two a days. Plus she may be the better overall athlete of the two.
Thanks Peter for the nice insight and insider info. Do you think you could get me a picture of them getting married that I could post on the site?
I’m not saying a wife isn’t more important than football. I’m saying that he waited until his senior year to find Kim, he could wait until after the season to marry her.
I’d like to see some proof on her being the better athlete. Even if I give you that she’s a better athlete, I’d much rather have Curtis in my backfield.
