Game of the Night?

Written by:

Tonight BYU basketball finally achieved something they didn’t do all of last year. Have a winning record. Too bad it really doesn’t matter, because they did it against an injury riddled SUU team. When all the reporters are more interested in writing about the reunion between JC recruits Broadus and Malaman and past teamates now playing for SUU you know there isn’t much going to happen in this game.

Actually it reminds me of a BYU game that I went to with a good friend when I was at BYU. We showed up just as the game started missing all the hooplah. We sat up near the top where we mostly just flirted the entire time. She commented on how hot Travis Hansen was and how great a player he was. Maybe it was jealousy at the time, because I didn’t see anything special. The next year he ended up being somewhat of a star and playing quite well. Either way, the game we were at was a blowout and we left sometime in the second half, because we already knew who was going to win.

Tonight was the same against SUU. The fact is, BYU should have been playing the women’s volleyball game on the big screen at the game. At least that would have been a competition for something.
