Mendenhall Quote of the Day
Written by: AdministratorAfter discussing Justin Sorensen’s ability to put a kick off 8 yards out the back of the end zone, Bronco Mendenhall said the following:
“I hope that’s what we’re practicing — running down and watching the ball go out of the end zone. We’ll practice doing that. That’s my hope.”
I think quotes are one of my favorite part of sports. So, you can expect to see a lot more of the best BYU football quotes.

I would love for this quote to be true, but jodging by what Bronco had to say in his press conference i’m not so sure. He said the one aspect of the game he doesn’t feel comfortable with is special teams, and that they didn’t practice them very much. I am really grateful we have a relatively easier opponent to work out some of the kinks on. Though I really hope they don’t pull a Michigan and blow it. BYU would not be so lucky as to come back into the rankings like Michigan did. The validity of that is a different topic.
He never feels comfortable about special teams. However, I think the idea that they can get it out of bounds he probably does have confidence in.
I think Bronco is just replaying in his mind all the times a last second field goal has failed us. Boston and Arizona will live in his memory for ever I think.
I agree about it being nice to have an easy opponent to start. I personally am most worried about the QB position. What happens if Hall goes down the first series. Then, life sucks.
