A Child’s Look at BYU Football

We’re suffering through the dog days of summer. We have football on our minds and we’re just counting down the days until the Football season begins. Sure, we can enjoy the success of BYU soccer, but there’s not many other BYU sports to enjoy during summer.

Turns out my little nephew (4 years old) is as excited for BYU football as his father and me. Here’s a conversation his mom and him had the other day about Fui Vakapuna and BYU Football:

Son: When I’m big I’m going to be a Fui Vakapuna fire fighter
Mom: Fui isn’t a fire fighter, he’s just a BYU football player
Son: Well than I’m going to be the FIRST Fui Vakapuna fire fighter
