BYU Women’s B-Ball
Written by: CrashUtahBYU women’s basketball beat UCLA last night. What a great win for the women’s team. Let’s be honest here. The women’s team in the past couple years has done a fabulous job and beat some big name teams. The problem is…Who really cares?
If my sister reads this post she will get really upset, but I’m being honest when I say that if BYU women’s basketball was on tv I still wouldn’t watch it. It’s the same for the WNBA on tv. I just have to change the channel. I love to go to the games live. It is a nice laid back atmosphere where you can see the sweat and determination. TV just doesn’t do it for me with women’s basketball.
It is important to note that I love to see BYU women’s basketball win. The more winning the better regardless of the sport. Just don’t ask me to watch them on tv.
Reichner Leads BYU over Washington State
Written by: CrashUtahHow great is it that Reichner the lone senior showed up to defeat a Pac 10 team. Although I’m really not sure how good Washington State is it is still nice to have a win in non conference. They always add up come tourney time. Plus, we lost to Washington State last year so that’s a big plus. Wait, we lost to everybody last year.
The only problem I have with Reichner having a good game is that so did Mike Rose last year(not to pick on Mike again). I just hope that Reichner isn’t a one shot wonder. There is some hope that it seems like a number of players performed well. Plaisted and Balderson look like solid contributors and quite consistent. Let’s hope that continues throughout the year. Otherwise, I’m afraid this might be a really tough season. UNLV beat Hawaii last night which beat Michigan State who was a pre-season National Top 5. That is kind of scary going into the MWC schedule. Although, that is good for BYU’s strength of schedule assuming they can beat UNLV.
Either way, let’s hope this wasn’t just an aberation on the schedule and that BYU will continue to win some games.
