My PPP/Izea Ranking
Written by: JuanchitoPPP/Izea has rolled out their new RealRank measure for blogs. Honestly I don’t personally believe that this rank will have much meaning outside of those blogs that participate in PayPerPost. However, it will have significant meaning to the 70,000 (or however many it is now) bloggers that use PayPerPost. Plus, it will be great for all of those stats addicts out there like me.
Of course, I’ve been in Hawaii and so I haven’t been able to check my PPP tools (now called ITK) to make sure it was installed properly. Looks like when I was trying out the Argus beta stats I messed up my PPP tools. I’ve fixed it now and tomorrow I’ll finally be able to see my RealRank.
If anyone else needs help with this let me know. I’m always happy to help people when I can. Even if it will be a bit busy over Thanksgiving.

We are working diligently to make this important to all bloggers and will be investing resources to get the broadest base of adoption possible. Stay tuned…. this is only the beginning : )
Thanks Ted. I’ll be interested to watch your marketing skills in action in this regard. I think there is an interesting catch with the statistics in SocialSpark. I think you should invest in that niche of SocialSpark if you want to get wider spread adoption. However, on second thought I’m not sure what value that really brings to your company.
Either way, I believe that RealRank will be valuable for Izea and bloggers doing Izea and the other rank you are working on will even be more valuable to advertisers.
The lightbulb just went off after seeing Ted’s comment. Those guys/gals are brilliant! Talk about being on the cutting edge. Everyone saw the Google slash coming but these guys actually did something. I take back anything negative I’ve said about them. I LOVE IT!
Thank you for a great site. I am new to both PPP and blogging. Your advice is much appreciated. Is this the way to add PPP tools for Realrank to my html?
/* ——————-[ Main Page Elements ]——————- */
body {

font-family: arial,”Lucida Grande”,”Lucida Sans Unicode”,geneva,verdana,sans-serif;

text-align: left;
margin: 0;

Doing so changes the look of the page, somehow.
Don,
Definitely not. All you need to do is add the line of Javascript code that you can find after logging into PPP. What you have copied there is just some style sheet code that will indeed change the look of the page. The code to get a RealRank won’t change the look of your page at all.
