Boot Camp
Written by: JuanchitoRecently I have been thinking about
Teen Help Boot Camp. What a great idea. I would like to sign my son up. Too bad they don’t have any for three year olds. In recent weeks he has:
-Found a permanent maker. He took that marker and graffiti-ed my carpet. If I don’t solve this issue now he might be one of those kids who miraculously is able to spray paint profanity on the highways exit signs. (How do kids do that without getting caught or killed is beyond me.
-The kitchen was found covered in shreds of paper towel. He is going to be caught littering at some park and will be forced to wear on of those orange jumpsuits picking up everyone else’s litter. This thought actually makes me feel quite happy that it will come back at him ten fold. (at least secretly I hope it does)
-And the worse thing he has done is kick his sister. You may not think it is bad. But his sister is three months old. All she was doing was lying on the floor cooing nicely when I caught him kicking her sides in. Of course she thinks it is funny. I did not. He is going to be one of those guys once again at the park beating up the homeless.
So I need boot camp intervention and I need it now. I haven’t found any for my three year old. But I have found some for when he is a teenager. I am beginning to do my research now because I now that unlike the parents who will be sending their teenagers off to college if my son doesn’t begin to change his behavior I will be sending him off to Boot camp. Can I still have a party to send him off?
There are many things to consider. Do these programs actually work? How much money do they cost? Is there one in my area (or where is the farthest one)?
I am going to to start looking now for the right program for my crazy toddler. But what do I do with him in the mean time?
