Credit Cards Aren’t Always Bad

Most the time I think that credit cards are something that many people shouldn’t have. Maybe I should modify that thinking. Stupid people shouldn’t be allowed credit cards. I don’t know how you filter out the stupid people, but the world would be better if you did.

Well, I am not a stupid person and so credit cards are a good thing. I use credit cards the right way. I use them to get cash back credit cards, credit card reward points, credit card loyalty. In fact, I’ve done so well recently that my wife and I have enough airline miles on Delta to be able to have either 2 tickets to Europe or Hawaii or 3 tickets to anywhere in the continental US. Now the problem we are facing is deciding what to do with all those miles.

I didn’t think the miles would add up that quickly. However, I think we’ve done pretty well when we help people out by paying with our credit card and then get money back. For example, I pay for my work rental card on the credit card and then work refunds me the money. That works out pretty well and gets a fair amount of miles. What really helped me is that I used my credit card to pay my brother’s tuition. Soon, the government is suppose to pay him for his school and then he’ll pay me. Not a bad deal for a few airline miles.

Another thing that stupid people do is pay a high percentage on their credit card when they could easily do a 0% balance transfers

Finally, if you want to use a credit card. Compare credit card offers before you sign up. There are a ton of them out there so make sure you are getting the best deal possible.
