Broken Laptop – Does it need a “laptop power jack repair”?
Written by: JuanchitoI’ve used a number of laptops that have had problems with power. Most of the time I just end up either leaving the laptop plugged in when I’m using it. That sucks, but I didn’t know there was another solution for what I now know is called laptop power jack repair.
Here’s a list of possible symptoms that may represent laptop power jack repair:
Symptoms of a broken power jack:
- The laptop only runs when you keep the power cord in a certain direction.- The laptop only runs on battery power.
- The laptop will not charge the battery.
- The laptop switches from AC power to battery power intermittently.
- The unit suddenly shuts off
- Sparks come out of the back of the laptop.
I hate the power cord direction one and the laptop not charging the battery. I wonder what the sparks one would look like. Reminds me of the recent Dell laptop that exploded.
