Best Stats Program for WordPress

Test to see if this appears.

I’ve become a complete statistic addict since I’ve started blogging. I absolutely love checking to see how many people have come to visit my site. My favorite stat to look at is the number of different websites, search engines or other referral sources there are for my site. It’s amazing how people can find your website. It’s come in so many different ways and I love to follow it. Google and the other search engines are so amazing that they can actually find content on my website.

Anyway, I use a lot of different stat packages. I have awstats, webalizer and analog from my web host. Awstats is definitely my favorite from those 3. I also just signed up for google analytics. I like it pretty good. It’s still so new that I can’t give it a proper review yet.

However, despite the pros and cons of those stats package there is a stats package that is a plugin for WordPress that is so totally addicting that I can’t use it enough. In fact, it’s become the home page of my internet browser. It’s called BAStats and despite being in beta state it is fantastic. I’m pretty sure it will be in beta state forever, but it is still the best WordPress stats package I’ve seen. Maybe if I can just find the time I’ll figure out how plugins work and continue development on it. I guess I’d also have to see how all that works since someone else created the beta version.

I recommend it to everyone. It even works with the latest version of WordPress(thank goodness). Let me know if you try it or make any enhancements to it.
