Benji Schwimmer Tribute Video
Written by: JuanchitoI found a really great tribute video of Benji Schwimmer. It’s amazing how people are still addicted to him. I have a feeling it might not end until the So You Think You Can Dance Tour ends. Even then, they’ll probably bring him back on next years show.
Enjoy!!

Dog the Bounty Hunter Arrested
Written by: JuanchitoI couldn’t believe the headline when I read it. Dog the Bounty Hunter was arrested by a group of US Marshalls. Can you imagine going and picking him up from his house?
I should have known that something like this would happen. I always wondered whether a lot of the things he did on TV were legal. I guess in Mexico it might not be legal. In Hawaii they are probably just glad to get them off the street. Not to mention he’s probably related to half the island.
Here’s some interesting quotes about him getting arrested.
Beth Chapman, Dog’s Wife, said:
“I was getting the children ready for school and the U.S. marshals burst in our door and they just came right in and took him,” said Beth Chapman on MSNBC.
“He was in shock. He was, he was shocked. He was shocked and he was amazed that the marshal’s service that came to get him didn’t even treat him as kind as he treats his own prisoners.”
A representative from the Marshal’s office said:
“There were 7 deputy marshals who went to Chapman’s home,” said Jay Beber, from the U.S. marshal’s office in Hawaii.
“We knocked on the door to announce that we were U.S. marshals. … Mr. Chapman was compliant and very respectful.”
Should be interesting to see how this all turns out.

2 NBC Shows Streamed Online – Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip and Twenty Good Years
Written by: JuanchitoNBC today announced it will stream the premieres of two of its most-new series before they broadcast them. It’s the latest in a string of news to suggest to local broadcasters they are facing a brave new world.
Teaming with Warner Bros. Television and AOL, NBC will premiere “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and “Twenty Good Years” commercial-free on AOL.com, according to statement.
The shows will be available on-demand for the entire week prior to their network broadcast.
Thank you NBC and internetnews. This is a model that each and every show should adopt. In fact, it shouldn’t just stream the first show, but all of the shows for the entire season. Possibly the rest of the shows for the season could play after the orginal.

Downloadable TV Shows
Written by: JuanchitoI’ve talked about downloading your favorite TV shows a number of times on this website. Well, I found another website for those that want to watch their favorite show again or possibly a TV show that you may have missed. This website looks really professional which is often very different than many of the other TV download sites I’ve seen.
On the site you can Download TV Shows from all sorts of categories such as sitcoms, dramas, reality tv, cartoons, mini-series, sports and music videos.
The best part of having a professional site is that they are interested in making sure that the downloads are of high quality. It’s never a good thing if you download a large file and then find out that the file doesn’t work.

DISH Network and DIRECT TV Satellite Service
Written by: JuanchitoI honestly never got into the battle for satellite service providers Dish Network or Direct TV. However, recently I’ve pretty much been thrown into the frey. Why you may ask?
Well, it turns out that I’m a rabid BYU Football fan. BYU is part of the Mountain West Conference. It turns out that during the off season, the Mountain West Conference cut all its ties to ESPN and left for a new station called CSTV – College Sports TV. Plus, they decided to start their own cable channel called the mtn.(yes, you do have to include the period).
Where do you think that you can find those channels? Well, comcast purchased a portion of CSTV and the mtn. Otherwise, you are going to have to get Dish Network or Direct TV. Really you don’t have a choice if you’re stuck in the monopolized Cox cable world of Las Vegas.
I guess I’m just not that into satellite. Sure, I love the high quality. I love that they have BYU TV(although that’s free online now too). I also love some of the football packages they have. I don’t like having a satellite dish. I also don’t like that I don’t get cheaper cable internet when I use a satellite. Oh well, I guess a BYU fan’s got to do what a BYU fan’s got to do.
Which do you prefer, Dish Network or Direct TV?
Crocodile Hunter Dies Filming Underwater Show
Written by: Juanchito
Steve Irwin, the TV presenter known as the “Crocodile Hunter,” has died after being stung by a stingray in a marine accident off Australia’s north coast.
Media reports say Irwin was diving in waters off Port Douglas, north of Cairns, when the incident happened on Monday morning.
Irwin, 44 was killed by a stingray barb that went through his chest, according to Cairns police sources. Irwin was filming an underwater documentary at the time.
This was some really sad news that I came across last night before I went to bed. I loved watching the crocodile hunter. When I was in college and had cable there were 2 cable stations that I fell in love with. One was CMT and the other was Animal Planet. Faith Hill is the reason I loved CMT. Steve Irwin made me fall in love with Animal Planet.
He’ll be missed. It will be interesting to see what happens with his legacy. The animal world lost a friend with the death of Steve Irwin.

Don’t Think You Don’t Need the TV Guide Anymore?
Written by: JuanchitoMy wife tried to pull something on me today when she told me that she thought we should use the TV guide. I of course don’t care about the TV guide anymore because you can see everything that is online using cable. Not to mention, if I wanted to know what was on I can just turn it to the cable channel that lists all the shows on TV.
Well, it turns out my wife wasn’t referring to the TV guide that we know about. Instead she was talking about The New TV Guide. I guess my wife wants to get a nice new TV for football season. The new “TV Guide” is a means of evaluating all your different TV needs. Think about flatscreen tvs, digital tvs, plasma tvs, lcd tvs, widescreen tvs, rear projection tvs, home cinema systems, etc etc etc. How are you suppose to know what to buy these days? The New TV Guide is a good place to start.
I personally hope I can convince her to get a Home Cinema Projector. Wish me luck!

NASCAR and SPEED TV
Written by: JuanchitoOne thing I may never understand is why someone would go and pack themselves with tens of thousands of people out in the stands of a NASCAR event. Sure, that might have been fun before we had TV, but now nascar is so much better to watch from the comfort of home. The food is better, the temperature is cooler and the lazy boy is definitely softer. In fact, with what’s happening on TV these days you could watch every Nascar event there is.
A lot of professional sports have their very own network. For example, NFL network and NBA TV. Nascar will never have that problem. SPEED has already taken care of all of Nascar’s needs. The Nascar section of the SPEED website is even better with plenty of news commentary and video. Forget the track and sidle up to your computer and TV and get all the NASCAR you need. SPEED’s got are Nascar needs all taken care of.

So You Think You Can Dance Results Show Tonight
Written by: JuanchitoI can’t wait to see the So You Think You Can Dance results show tonight on Fox. Here’s my prediction:
4. Travis
3. Heidi
2. Donyelle
1. Benji
If Travis wins it is rigged. If Heidi gets above third then I’ll be very surprised. Travis should be higher, but I’m biased.
Here’s a great set of quotes by Allison Holker and Travis Wall before So You Think You Can Dance.
Let the show begin!!
