Thank you to all those who voted for my wish to send my wife to Hawaii. You’ll never believe it, but my wish was granted.
We’re very excited. We can’t wait to go to Hawaii. Too bad we might have to wait until next Christmas to have time to go. That’s ok. We love Hawaii at New Years!!
I’ve been participating pretty actively in a little community called Robin Hood Fund. Robin Hood Fund is basically a website that lets you create a wish. Each week a bunch of wishes are granted. I actually had one friend get her wish granted, which was pretty cool.
Well, my wife wished to go to Hawaii with my son. My son was born in Hawaii and so there are a ton of friends she’d like to see. We’d appreciate anyone that wants to visit our wish and give our wish 5 stars. Also, feel free to make a wish of your own. It’s free to make the wish. I’m working on my masters degree in Information Systems at UNLV. One of my fellow students is working on his Masters Thesis on blogging. He’s asked for help in distributing a survey he’s created for his research. Here’s the message he sent me:

Well, it turns out that Emoze is calling Blackberry out of the closet. That sounds like a good competition. Emoze vs. Blackberry.
A very nice matchup of two powerhouses in mobile email. I have a feeling that Blackberry isn’t going to care about Emoze.
I attended the International CES this week and saw a ton of new technology. A lot of it is focused on portable electronics. I don’t think I saw anything too revolutionary. Most of seemed like it was an incremental improvement over the previous technology. However, one interesting thing I heard (or read or saw) said that Windows CE now runs on more mobile devices than blackberry. In true Windows form, Windows is dominating a market while Blackberry (or should we call it crackberry) dominates the marketing and PR front.
I think I’d rather have market share than be with the “cool kids.” If I’m Emoze, I wouldn’t worry about Blackberry either. I worry more about Windows. They are a software company after all.
I have a great friend in Italy named Walter. For Christmas I sent him a chance to make a wish for anything he wants. He was really excited for the gift and he made a wish for a holiday for his mum. I’ll translate that for you American English speakers, A vacation for his mom.
Well, he was telling me thank you for the gift, but then he told me that it would be hard for him to promote his wish, because most of his friends don’t speak English and so they can’t vote on the Robin Hood Fund site. I told him I’d do my best to promote his wish.
If you are reading this, then please support my friend’s wish. It’s an amazingly reasonable wish of only $150. He could have asked for $10,000 or more, but he only asked for what he needed to make his mom’s day. Thanks for helping me help a friend.
