Yesterday I was talking with a friend about her interest in finding a website that listed christian people that offered certain services she needed. I thought it was a great idea and I thought I found a website that did just that called Christian Placement.com(http://www.christianplacements.com) Well, I wasn’t quite right about this website doing what my friend wanted.

However, I was completely fascinated with the idea the Christian ministers or people wanting to work with a christian organization could use ChristianPlacement.com(http://www.christianplacements.com) to find employment. Sounds like a great idea. Here’s a better description of exactly what their mission is:

I really don’t know this person, but I think they are a pretty big VC guy. Regardless of who it is the story is great. Rick describes what is what like for him to walk around a store with a toilet seat and why that matters.

Moral of the Story: I think I’ll continue renting for a while longer.

I’ve used a number of laptops that have had problems with power. Most of the time I just end up either leaving the laptop plugged in when I’m using it. That sucks, but I didn’t know there was another solution for what I now know is called laptop power jack repair.

Here’s a list of possible symptoms that may represent laptop power jack repair:

Symptoms of a broken power jack:
- The laptop only runs when you keep the power cord in a certain direction.

- The laptop only runs on battery power.
- The laptop will not charge the battery.
- The laptop switches from AC power to battery power intermittently.
- The unit suddenly shuts off
- Sparks come out of the back of the laptop.

I hate the power cord direction one and the laptop not charging the battery. I wonder what the sparks one would look like. Reminds me of the recent Dell laptop that exploded.

Today I wanted to try out 4TV to see how well it streamed TV. However, I got the following message when I visited the site:

4TV.COM
We will be back tomorrow on a dedicated server, thanks for all the vi sits and support. And Stay tuned for more…

I think there are 2 ways to look at this:

1. 4TV is illegal and the site got taken down because of legal problems.

2. 4TV is so popular that it needed to move to a dedicated server to handle all the traffic.

Looking at my statistic logs I would say that it must be the second option. People have been swarming to my post called “Free Online TV - Including Free HDTV Channels, ESPN, HBO, Movie Channels All Streamed Online” I can’t imagine why!?

I hope that the major networks start to embrace online TV even more fully because I think we are all ready to get TV anywhere we have an internet connection. If the major networks don’t hop on board it’s going to be a major problem for their business. Although, maybe they just look at online TV as another set of viewers for their advertisers. Let’s hope this is the case, but I won’t be holding my breath.

I think more important is why 4TV couldn’t move to a dedicated server without taking the site down. And even more poignant is that 4TV wasn’t on a dedicated server from the beginning. I remember reading an interview with the founder of Digg where he said he started Digg on a dedicated server because he knew it would be a big thing. Too bad 4TV didn’t have the same vision.

Until then you can always risk trying one of these options:
